Is it worth getting a tutor for GCSE maths?
Absolutely. GCSE tutors offer targeted, individualised attention that can significantly improve a student’s understanding and performance in their chosen GCSE subjects. Third Space Learning’s GCSE maths tutors provide interactive, tailored instruction that has been demonstrated to boost attainment and double progress in 14 weeks.
How much does a GCSE maths tutor cost?
Private tutors can charge anywhere between £15 to £45 per hour, and costing at the higher end of this for in-person tutoring in large cities such as London. Third Space Learning offers affordable online maths tuition that is considerably more cost-effective than traditional interventions by school staff.
How do I find a good GCSE maths tutor?
Good maths GCSE tutors should have the necessary qualifications (for example, a bachelor or masters degree and/or PGCE), experience tutoring and working with different exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel, iGCSE etc.), and ability to build rapport with students. You should be able to review tutor profiles online or to see how agencies and companies recruit. At Third Space Learning, all our tutors meet these criteria with many years of tutoring experience between them, ensuring top-tier maths education for your students. We take the guesswork out of finding a good tutor by providing you with pre-vetted, high-quality experienced maths tutors.
Do you offer other subjects or grade levels for one-to-one tuition?
As a team at Third Space Learning, we excel in providing one-to-one online tuition specifically focused on GCSE maths. Presently, we don’t offer A-level maths, further maths, GCSE or A-level physics, Computer Science or English language and literature GCSE level tuition. We do provide online tutoring for alternative key stages however; our Year 6 SATs revision programme is very popular at primary school as is our Year 7 maths tuition programme.
